وَعَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي أُسَارَى بَدْرٍ لَوْ كَانَ الْمُطْعِمُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ حَيًّا ثُمَّ كَلَّمَنِي فِي هَؤُلَاءِ النَّتْنَى لَتَرَكْتُهُمْ لَهُ وَقَالَ اللَّيْثُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ وَقَعَتْ الْفِتْنَةُ الْأُولَى يَعْنِي مَقْتَلَ عُثْمَانَ فَلَمْ تُبْقِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ بَدْرٍ أَحَدًا ثُمَّ وَقَعَتْ الْفِتْنَةُ الثَّانِيَةُ يَعْنِي الْحَرَّةَ فَلَمْ تُبْقِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ أَحَدًا ثُمَّ وَقَعَتْ الثَّالِثَةُ فَلَمْ تَرْتَفِعْ وَلِلنَّاسِ طَبَاخٌ
Dari [Az Zuhri] dari [Muhammad bin Jubair bin Muth'im] dari [Ayahnya], bahwa Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda kepada para tawanan perang Badr: "Seandainya Al Muth'im bin 'Adiy masih hidup lalu dia berbicara kepadaku untuk pembebasan orang-orang busuk ini pasti aku lepaskan mereka tanpa tebusan." Dan Al Laits menyebutkan dari Yahya bin Sa'id dari Sa'id bin Al Musayyab, "Fitnah pertama kali muncul, yaitu terbunuhnya Utsman, maka tidak ada seorang pun dari ahli badr yang tersisa. Kemudian muncul fitnah kedua, yaitu peristiwa harrah (zaman Yazid bin Mu'awiyah -pent), tidak ada seorangpun dari sahabat ahli Hudaibiyyah yang tersisa. Kemudian terjadi fitnah ketiga, dan fitnah itu tidak berkesudahan sehingga manusia (para sahabat) tidak lagi memiliki kekuatan." (HR. Bukhari: 3720)
Narrated Jubair Bin Mut'Im: The Prophet (ﷺ) while speaking about the war prisoners of Badr, said, "Were Al-Mut`im bin Adi alive and interceded with me for these filthy people, I would definitely forgive them for his sake." Narrated Saʿid bin Al-Musaiyab: When the first civil strife (in Islam) took place because of the murder of ʿUthman, it left none of the Badr warriors alive. When the second civil strife, that is the battle of Al-Harra, took place, it left none of the Hudaibiya treaty companions alive. Then the third civil strife took place and it did not subside till it had exhausted all the strength of the people. (Bukhari: 3720)
