The Prophet (ﷺ) heard a man reciting the Qurʾan in the mosque and said, "May Allah bestow His Mercy on him, as he has reminded me of such-and-such Verses of such a Surah." Narrated Hisham: (The same Hadith, adding): which I missed (modifying the Verses).

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) heard a man reciting the Qurʾan at night, and said, "May Allah bestow His Mercy on him, as he has reminded me of such-and-such Verses of such-and-such Suras, which I was caused to forget."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِئْسَ مَا لِأَحَدِهِمْ يَقُولُ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ بَلْ هُوَ نُسِّيَ
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Why does anyone of the people say, 'I have forgotten such-and-such Verses (of the Qurʾan)?' He, in fact, is caused (by Allah) to forget."
