حَدَّثَنِي عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ الْعَمِّيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُا رَخَّصَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِآلِ حَزْمٍ فِي رُقْيَةِ الْحَيَّةِ وَقَالَ لِأَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ مَا لِي أَرَى أَجْسَامَ بَنِي أَخِي ضَارِعَةً تُصِيبُهُمْ الْحَاجَةُ قَالَتْ لَا وَلَكِنْ الْعَيْنُ تُسْرِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ ارْقِيهِمْ قَالَتْ فَعَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ ارْقِيهِمْ
Telah menceritakan kepadaku ['Uqbah bin Mukram Al 'Ammi]; Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu 'Ashim] dari [Juraij] dia berkata; Dan telah mengabarkan kepadaku [Abu Az Zubair] bahwa dia mendengar [Jubair bin Abdullah] berkata; "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam membolehkan keluarga Hazm meruqyah bekas gigitan ular." Dan beliau bertanya kepada 'Asma binti 'Umais: 'Kelihatannya tubuh anak saudaraku ini kurus kering. Apakah mereka kurang makan? ' Jawab Asma'; 'Tidak! Mereka terkena penyakit pengaruh pandangan mata.' Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: 'Ruqyahlah mereka! ' Lalu kuminta agar beliau sudi meruqyah mereka. Tetapi beliau tetap mengatakan: 'Ruqyahlah mereka.' (HR. Muslim: 4075)
Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) granted sanction to the family of Hazm for incantation (in mitigating the effect of the poison of) the snake, and, he said -to Asma' daughter of 'Umais: What is this that I see the children of my brother lean? Are they not fed properly? She said: No, but they fall under the influence of an evil eve. He said: Use incantation She recited (the words of incantation before him), whereupon he (by approving them) said: Yes, use this incantation for them. (Muslim: 4075)
