Mu'aiqib quoted the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) mentioning the removal of pebbles from the ground where he prostrated himself. He (the Prophet) said: It you must do so, do it only once.

They asked the Apostle (may peace be upon him) about the removal of (pebbles) in prayer, whereupon he said: If you do it, do it only once.

Narrated Mu'aiqib, Rasulullah ﷺ said about a man who levels the earth where he doing prostrations: "If he must do it, just do it once."
